It has been so long to get this up here and maybe this is old news but here it is, Paul and I in India. It is still so crazy to us that we went there. We are so grateful that we had the opportunity to go! It was a great experience. I am now working on putting the book together of all of our pictures and journaling about our experiences, so this is going to be a very brief overview here. It was amazing to see many sights and experience so much of a very foreign place but the best thing was meeting such great, humble and kind people. This is pretty much to show that we were actually there, these are all pictures of Paul and I actually in India (it still sounds crazy to me!)

Our first day, we were pretty tired, 12 1/2 hour time difference was a big adjustment.
We rode in a basket boat at Hogenekkal falls. They took us right underneath a waterfall. It was pretty crazy to see hundreds of Indian people bathing in the falls. The basket boat was pretty awesome though.
These next few pictures are the families that we were able to eat with and that were so kind to help us learn to make Indian food. It was so much fun to spend time with them, they were all so wonderful and kind, and made the most delicious food! We hope to replicate the things that they taught us!
This is our, in the city, transportation. This is our Auto and driver- Baskar. It was great to have him take us around the city, to see sights, to shop, to eat, or anything really. He was so great! I loved riding in the auto, you could see so much and have the wonderful breeze. Unless of course you stopped beside a bus and choked on the fumes until you began moving, other then that, the auto was the best way to travel. We even had all 4 of us in here, sometimes with Mom or I on our hubbies laps, or with dad up sharing with Baskar. That was pretty funny!
These next pictures are some of the amazing animals that we saw on the safari that we went on in Nagarhole National Park. It was so amazing to see animals like this out in their natural habitat! The first safari was on a boat and the second was in a Jeep. Here are some of the sights.
Then we went to a palace in Mysore. The palace was amazing and beautiful and we were able to do the one thing that I really wanted to do, ride an elephant. This was Rosie and she took us all around the courtyard at the palace. It was very wobbly up there and pretty strange feeling, like the basket could fall off, but it didn't. We even got to sit on top of Rosie's head. She had very bristly hair covering her head, more then it looks like from below, it was like a wire brush, covering her head. Such great experiences.
This was a pretty common thing that happened, people wanting to take pictures with us. They don't just want your picture the want to have one with you and have their arms around you. It was very interesting to have people looking at us all the time and taking our picture just because of the color of our skin.
Enjoying some beauty of India at a bird sanctuary and botanical garden. It was so beautiful and tropical and we were able to walk around without so many crowds of people, that was so nice.
We were able to see what life was like in the office as our wonderful missionary parents served with all their might for 17 months. It was neat to see where they have been and some of what they have done in that time. We have been so blessed by their service and I know the India Bangalore mission has as well! It was so neat to see them their.
We did a number of days of Yoga. We would walk a couple of blocks over to this beautiful little yoga house. We tried a few different kinds and enjoyed some more then others. It was great to get some exercise while really experiencing some of India as well.
This is us visiting the big banyan tree. It is a tree that is 500 years old and the one tree spans more than 3 acres. It was amazing to be in India and experience so much. There is a little glimpse of our time in India. If you want to see or hear more, then call me and you can come to see our book.
