We love our Dads!

Paul enjoyed a fancy Fathers Day Breakfast!  With all those who celebrate him as their father!  Paul is a great dad and loves all of these crazy little monkeys!  He is funny and playful but is also really good at getting the job done, whatever that job is!  We are all very grateful to have such a great father here is our home!

We had a great time celebrating our Dads on Fathers Day.  We had a great BBQ at mom and dads house and enjoyed the time together.  These were super cute cupcakes that Ashley brought that looked like Dad and Grandpa in their younger days and now.  See the little face on Dads with long hair and a mustache.  It was so cute and funny!

Ashley here with her little birthday buddy!  It will always be a special bond that those 2 have!

It was so fun to see Ashley and always great to see Turner.

For Paul for Fathers Day we made him a tie-die shirt.  And obviously some for all of us as well.  The kids had so much fun making them and were so excited that it was hard to keep a secret.  We did manage to keep it a secret until the day before fathers day when we gave him his shirt.  The kids watched videos on different designs and picked the colors and styles that they wanted.  It was a really fun project and we all love the result.  Marshall asks to wear his tie-die nearly everyday and is sad when it is in the wash.  He also tells strangers when we are out that he has a tie-die shirt.  So funny!

We made an extra little tie-die onesie for this little one, when our family picture will soon need updating!

I love these pictures of our family!  It is so us!  Just having some fun together.  I love each of those little faces!  I can't wait to meet this new little person soon to join our family and see who they are.  So exciting!

Into the Wild!

One Sunday, with Mom and Dad and Grandpa, after Paul had BBQ'd us a delicious meal and we had finished eating early we decided to go out to the Kananaskis to enjoy the beauty.  It was a nice easy spot in Sandy McNabb that we decided to get out and walk a little, even though it was sprinkling rain on us.  It was so beautiful and green.  I love all of the different shades of green.

Marshall was so cute running along toward Grandma.  I love the picture here with both of his feet off the ground.

So we walked along this path and it curved around a few trees and had a small meadow.  Right there across the meadow was this Moose and her calf.  So we just stopped and stood and watched them for 15 or so minutes.  It was so amazing to see.  They just looked at us and continued to eat and payed us no attention.  I did hurry back to the cars to get Great Grandpa as this was worth the walk to come and see.

It was so amazing to watch this tiny little moose.  It was so small and such an amazing color.  The girls named it Butterscotch, which was perfect.  The mother did look pretty scraggly, which I appreciated a little, as even Moose look a little rough after just having a baby.  It is hard work.  This baby could only have been a few weeks old, at the most!  What an amazing experience!

I love this kind of picture that can capture a bit of the kids different personalities.  They can be so different in how they approach things and they are so unique, I love to capture it.  Our sweet little family, it will be changing very soon.

On the way home we stopped a few times to capture some birds, including this awesome Great Grey Owl.  Kyndal saw it and guessed that it was a great grey owl, and she was right.  It was on a post right in front of us and then flew across to the other side of us and sat on that post just watching us.  It was such a beautiful creature and a great way to appreciate so many creations on this beautiful Sunday.

This amazing rainbow accompanied us all through our journey and at times there was a double rainbow.  So amazing.  We were so blessed to enjoy all of these things, and together as a family.  A great day!!
