Welcome Marshall!!

We have welcomed our baby into the world! Our Baby boy, Marshall Paulson Gainor was born Aug 21 at 1:03am. We had intended to go to the hospital but as things progressed faster then intended, the midwives arrived to assess us and we were ready to deliver. So the baby was born at home 23 minutes after the midwives arrived. It all went so well and fast, which is such a blessing. The girls slept through me labouring right next door to their bedroom but Kyndal awoke within a minute after he was born. It was really great that she could experience with us, while missing all of the graphic parts. She was so cute and excited, wandering sleepily into the room to see what the sounds were. She said that she could hear the baby crying. It was so sweet, an experience she will never forget!

This is Kyndal up seeing Marshall soon after he was born. Sharan made it just a few minutes after he was born as well.

Our sweet baby boy!

Cuddling my boy. The experience of a new baby always just blows me away. It is truly a miracle. It feels surreal that we wait and plan and wait for our baby and then he is here. He is his own little person, it is just crazy. Feels even more crazy to look at my girls and remember the days when they were just tiny new babies. Such amazing experiences to be a mother!!

Paul and Dad celebrating by "cracking a cold one." Having their Pepsi in the middle of the night. They are so funny!

Our babe being measured. The midwives called this a Fish scale. It is so fun! I loved his little feet poking out!

I can't believe that we have a boy!!

Marshall having his first bath. He calmed right down in the water, it was so sweet.

Our growing family!

Combing that dark hair of his. He looks like such a little old man with that scrunched brow, puffy little face and bald spot on his head. He is just so cute!

Some more of our family. Each girl had to have a turn to hold him for the pictures. He is sure loved by all of us!

Dawsyn has always been in love with babies so it is no surprise her excitement for her baby brother. She said all the way through my pregnancy that it is a baby boy. Now she says all day long that she wants to "hold it again." She is just so amazed by him!

Daddy bonding with his boy!

Kyndal having a turn.

Kyndal and Elliette spending time with their favorite boys!

Marshall looks the most like Elliette when she was a baby. He has the same hairline, and I think that her hair was as dark as his. She also has always had very expressive eyebrows. She can furrow her brow and wrinkle her little forehead. She has really loved hearing this. She is loving to spend time with her baby brother!

Wow, it has been such a long time!! We had some computer difficulties with getting the pictures onto our newer computer, and the old one is so crazy slow as to make blogging impossible. So this will be a full update into the major changes of our lives!

So we have spent the last 6 months packing and moving. We are now in Calgary at my parents house in preparation of them going on their mission to India in Oct. It was stressful to move but has been great once we have been settled in here. We miss Okotoks though and will be excited to return in 2 years or so as we have our house there rented out until we return. We are awaiting the arrival of our 4th child hopefully any day now. We are all excitedly anticipating this new babe. Kyndal says everyday that she can't wait to hold this sweet brother or sister in her arms. Waiting is hard, but we are nearly there. This baby did cooperate and stay in for us to go to Edmonton for Ashleys wedding last weekend, which we are grateful for!

Our girls just keep on growing, it is crazy how that happens. Dawsyn is really starting to talk a lot, which we knew would eventually come. She is such a little personality but pretty easy-going for a 2 year old. She keeps saying 'Me Baby' and even tried to squeeze herself into a tiny newborn sleeper one day. It will be a change for her with a new baby but she is the most baby crazy kid I know, so I think that she will enjoy it. We have been feeling really productive with getting a head start on our schooling this year in anticipation of taking some time off when our babe comes. Kyndal is doing her grade 2 and Elliette doing Kindergarten. It is going really well, I am continually amazed at how they are learning so much and how much we are able to accomplish. There is so many learning opportunities around us and it is so great to recognize them and take advantage. My mom is really into birds lately, so our science is a bird unit. She has her books for them to look at, spotting backyard birds and naming them, learning geography as we look at the maps of where different birds live, going to the Inglewood bird sanctuary and all of the talking about, coloring and drawing of birds. It has been fun for them. They don't even know they are doing school. That is the best kind.

Well that is a quick update into our busy lives. Now that we have managed our computer things it won't be as long the next time.

Here are a few recent pictures. Practicing to curl my girls very straight hair in practicing for Ashleys wedding.

She is not a baby anymore, here is my little 2 year old!

Kyndal loves to climb the trees out front, even in a dress.

Elliette and her furrowed brow. We have been talking about her as a baby and telling her this is one of my first memories of her, with her bald little head and furrowed brow. She is so funny!

Our sweet busy babe!!

When we can get a picture of this girls eyes it is so great. It is tricky to do!

My big girl is so much a kid now, with those missing teeth and all. She is just so sweet!
