Best Summer Ever!!

Here is a sampling of our kids enjoying their best summer ever!  While I was at home napping and feeding and cuddling our sweet baby, the girls and boy were off playing with Nana, everywhere, for the whole summer.  They really did more then any other summer.  Some of those things were; at the beach, exploring the pond, the river, many parks, hours at the big rock, the zoo, Kayben farms, the nursery, black diamond, out to the farm, to the farmers market, to the fire hall, baking, trampoline time, rollerblading and biking, going to high river, etc,  (these things were repeated over and over all through the summer)

We so loved every second of having Nana here and spoiling us with her attention.  I am not exaggerating one bit that it was our best summer ever!

Happy Baby

I began to decorate this wall over a year ago, with the beginnings of sewing these little quilts for this space.  I had things cut out and some sewn but had not managed to get to completion.  Sharan is so great at helping me to get to completing a lot of projects that I would otherwise put off.  These were really quick and easy to put together and so much fun!  I am glad to have my sewing room appropriately decorated.  It makes me happy to look up and see these.  

This baby is so adored by all.  It is so fun to see the boys together.

He is happy and easygoing!

They are both so gorgeous.  I can't believe how big they both are getting (especially Kyndal, just crazy!) and this baby is rounding out nicely!  At his 6 week check-up he was already 11 1/2 pounds.

He was the smiliest baby even from the start, he would smile in his sleep all day, and then he learned to smile at us, and he does that as soon as a face gets into his view.  It is such a joy to have this sweet happy baby in our family.

He is wearing the tie-die shirt that we made for him before he was born, when we made them for all of us.  It is cute, it has a heart on the front, but it is not quite boyish enough

Marshall's 3rd Birthday!

Our big boy is now 3 (well it has been a while now, but that is our life)  He was the easiest 2 year old ever.  He was sweet and happy, independent and obedient.  He is not one to get into too much trouble.  Once he was rounding the corner to 3 we could really see that having a 3 year old is different.  For all of our kids 3 years old is way harder then having a 2 year old.  Marshall is still sweet and pretty nice, but he is also more determined, whiny and fighting with the rest of the family.  They have learned the things that they want and they want them despite what anybody else wants.  

We sure love having this boy around though.  He is so cute and those big brown eyes just melt my heart.  He makes the funniest serious faces, the way he crinkles up his eyebrows, is hilarious.

We had cupcakes on Marshalls actual birthday and then had a family supper another day.

The kids love the tradition of getting to have a box of treat cereal for their birthday.

Marshall wanted to have a construction site cake for his birthday, so I had the idea of using toy construction vehicles on a sheet cake to manage this.  Paul got excited about actually putting together the construction site, as he has construction experience, he could recreate the scene.  It was cute to see him putting it together with the kids all gathered around.
