Glimpse of Summer

Here are a few of the fun things that we did this summer.
We went one day out to Turner Valley to experience an authentic 50's diner, Marv's Classic Soda Shop.  It was full of memorabilia that was consistent for the age.  It was interesting to see.  There was a juke box and it was great to see how many songs even the kids knew.  That made us happy!  We had a fun time there.

We always spend a lot of time reading!  Dawsyn has been really progressing in her reading and you can see here, her favorite book of choice, The Book of Mormon!  It is really the best for learning to read, consistently challenging with all kinds of new words to practice sounding out!  She still tries to read 3 verses every evening!  It is a great goal and she is doing really well with it!

We are always doing a lot of Loving on this baby!

One day these boys were at home with me while the girls were probably off on a great adventure with Nana.  They were both really grumpy but it was only mid morning.  I discovered that they were really hungry when Marshall got into the fridge and was preparing for himself a leftover hamburger. These boys then sat and gobbled down burgers.  It was an experience that reminded me of what hungry boys are going to be like in the future.  They were starving, scarfed down their food and then were much happier!

A day at heritage Park!

Mimicking the baby's "crazy eyes".

Cuddling with Daddy!
These boys are so full of energy!

Marshall never lacks enthusiasm.  This face seems to show the way that he feels about everything.
After a movie date there are plenty of pretend glasses around for the boys to enjoy.  Baylor is the cutest little 4 eyes around!!

Baylor Turns 2

Baylor had a simple birthday, shared with Daddy; their birthdays are 2 days apart.  He got a strider bike from us and Grandma and Grandpa.  We have been wanting to get one of these for the kids for a few years but it hasn't happened.  So now we have a little one.

Paul with a much needed new basketball.

The bike was a little big for Baylor.  He can barely reach his little toes to the ground.  Next year it will be great.  It has had a lot of use though for Marshall.  Just being on the strider bike for a bit and he is then riding his 2 wheeled bike.  It is amazing the skills that they can learn really fast on the strider!

The girls are such good helpers with the little boys.  Elliette is really great especially with Baylor. It is so sweet to watch them building special relationships.

Baylor was happier to play basketball anyways.  He could play ball all day long!  He does play basketball through his nursery time.  He loves it!  I love his sequence of dribble, jump stop and shoot! It will be interesting through the girls basketball season this year, trying to keep this boy contained, as he wants to play and not watch.  That is life with a 2 year old!

Baby Photo Shoot

I have moments when I can tell this baby is growing much bigger.  Other moments when he is still just a tiny newborn.  I am trying to capture some bits of it.  Here is this sweet growing baby!

He is so often with his crazy eyes.  His first month of life he was probably either cross eyed or crazy eyes 80% of the time.  After that he has been better able to control his eyes.  Here is some of his different eyes documented!

This sweet baby is so adored!

Everywhere we go people comment on his hair.  Even when he just has a tiny bit of head poking out from the sling I am carrying him in, people are impressed by all of this hair!  We will see how long it will last.  There is no doubt that this baby is super handsome though!
