Dawsyn's 7th Birthday

My darling Dawsyn is now 7!  She is growing up so much!  For her birthday she was in real need of a new bike.  We had done a number of family bike rides last year that she had a hard time keeping up with on her little bike.  It didn't have any gears and she would have her little legs pumping away wildly, trying to go faster.  It was very cute but also very tiring and frustrating for her.  So a new birthday bike it is!  She was very excited!
\
She actually picked out this blue bike at the bike store when Paul got a new bike this winter.  With boys that will be growing into it, we were happy to oblige with that choice.
She was very surprised though.  She had actually taken bike off her birthday list as we kept telling her that it was a big, expensive thing to ask for your birthday.  So she was very surprised when that is exactly what she got.
Happy birthday, my dear youngest daughter!

Some Older Cuteness!

I found some older pictures that didn't get posted but are cute enough to be worth a second try at.
The kids this year on Easter, at Grandma's house.  They are sure a cute bunch!
Baylor didn't get a haircut the last time that his brother did.  I usually like to keep their hair pretty short.  But I did appreciate Baylor looking more baby-like with his long locks and that sweet baby face.  He is growing so fast, especially as we are planning for this next baby, so it was good to appreciate him being my baby for a while!

This is an old one, I don't know from when, but Baylor is pretty small.  I just love these boys playing together!  They play together even more now.  It is interesting the bond between brothers.  These days Baylor is a little parrot, doing and trying to say everything that his brother does and says.  Sometimes the girls, especially Dawsyn, get a little jealous that he doesn't say everything that she says, only parroting Marshall.
I love Marshall being his own little pyramid!  These kiddos are so fun!

Marshall doesn't often take a nap but every once and a while he makes himself a little bed, or a little fort and puts himself to sleep in it. I guess when he really needs it!  I love to see them sleeping!
I didn't ever post these announcements.  These were the way that we announced this pregnancy to the family.  It was simple but so fun to do!  This top one was the one that was sent out.  Baylor is doing a fake cry here.  He is a funny boy!  But I love the others too!  He has stopped sucking his fingers like this, which is a good thing but also I miss as he was so cute and little!

Champions!

We had such a great time with our basketball this year.  It was so amazing to have both of the girls on the same team; we had a great set of girls altogether on the team.  They really progressed through the year and won the championship!  Here are a couple of pictures of their final game.

They were so excited that they were able to get medals!  Last year Kyndal's team won their championship game but they received t-shirts.  So this was an unexpected reward!

For posterity sake, I will name off the team.  This is our last year in Okotoks and it will be fun to remember who these girls are if we meet them in the future.  Back row:  We have Coach Jay Sheen and Coach Mark Johnson.  Then we have Kyndal, Kayla, Maysen, and Mackenzie.  Front row is: Avery, Elliette, Briana and Ava.

It was so fun to have these cousins play together!  They had such a great season.  Kayla loved it so much she went on to play spring league this year.  It will be interesting to see if these girls will play against each other in the years to come.  As we are no longer in the Okotoks team area.  But fun to celebrate together as Champions!
