My Man!!

Yesterday was mine and Pauls 9th anniversary! Horray! I am sure a blessed woman to be able to have such an amazing Husband! It has been such a great 9 years. I am grateful always that Paul is so easy to get along with, especially those times when I am not as much. He is a great Father and he works so hard to provide for us. He is there at all times that I want to talk about any random thing, which is quite often. He even listens when he would much rather go to sleep! He loves and respects all I do and is so supportive of me! I am so blessed to have him. And I gave him a toast last night for a million billion more years (that would be how Kyndal would say it)

So yesterday we didn't really have any plans but Nana came over to play with the girls as she often will just pop by I didn't think anything of it. Then Paul walks in to door and hour early home from work and said that we are going out! I was so shocked!! So out we went for a nice dinner and a movie. It was a great fun night! The surprise that he planned all of this and whisked me away was the best part! What a treat!

Goals!!

We had the best time yesterday with Kyndals soccer. Overall soccer hasn't been going so well. Kyndal hasn't been interested hardly at all, so she misbehaves at times, and we have had some drama. Well we told her a few weeks ago that we would pay her for getting a goal or for an assist. We also told her that for every time that she wasn't listening to her coach we would take away a quarter. She has been really motivated by her money lately as we have been giving her a kind of allowance and she has had goals for saving her money. It was also not just about her getting a goal but just trying to help her to want to try in soccer. We praised her lots for all of her chasing of the ball as well. Well we haven't had to take any money away, it was a few good weeks. Then last night she got her fist goal!! She ran with the ball all the way down the field and nearly had it taken away at the end, but she got it and kicked it into the goal. She was just so surprised and excited that she looked like she was going to cry. It was about the cutest thing that I have ever seen. The look on her face was worth anything!! It made me tear up to see that amazement and accomplishment that she felt for herself! Well after that she scored another 2 goals and an assist. The others she wasn't shocked at all just confident. It was just so great!! So she earned $7 and a trip to DQ as well. It was such a great time at soccer!! What a girl she is!!!
As well Elliette has gotten into the habit of being a backseat driver. She tells us where to go, to go faster and if she thinks that we missed something that she thinks we should have done. Well she was lecturing Paul driving last night and so he asked her
'How old are you Elliette'

'3' she says

'And how many years of driving experience do you have'
'SOOOOO MANY' she says in her little defiant voice. It was so funny there was no possible reply to that. She is quite sure of herself that little girl.. What a character!! I am a lucky mother!!

Feels like today

Feels like summer! We played at the park, had soccer practice, did chores, played in the sprinkler all in beautiful sunshine today! It is so much fun to accomplish things together and to have fun enjoying the day. The girls are playing well together and we have Paul home with us!! It is a great day! We are planning for a yummy BBQ tonight, with great friends; so there will be lots of laughs. I really can't see how it could be much better. This is so summer!!

First Steps!!!

Today my sweet little Baby took her first steps. She has been walking along furniture for a long time but as soon as she grabbed onto someones hands she would drop to the floor to crawl. She is a super speedy crawler. Then last week she started to try and walk a little while holding onto someones hands. She also has her little toy walker and as soon as we got it out for her she was up and walking with it. But just this week she has been standing up in the middle of the room on her own. And today has taken 5 steps a few times. It is interesting to see what their incentives are to do something. She won't walk to me. If I want her to come to me she immediately drops down to crawl to me, it is much faster. When she walked it was somewhere on her own looking away from me and just practicing for herself. Those first steps are just so amazingly cute and precious. So wobbly but so excited to see what she is accomplishing. She seems so amazed at herself. It is great to be a part of it!

Life is good!

It is so funny how life can be so up and down. After feeling like there have been so many things that are throwing me off then I can go and have a few days that things are so great. Not even any major things, just little things, that make my days feel so much better. Feeling more comfortable at work, the rain, which I love, as well as it cancelled soccer and is watering my garden for me, all great. Enjoying my great girls, them playing so nice together, time to laugh with them and just enjoy them, my favorite things ever. Oh life is good, I am grateful for the little things that make it so!

What's for supper?

I have discovered that I don't mind cooking. I think I used to not like it but I have gotten past that. I like to try different things, I love to make easy yummy things that have become our standards and I love to make things healthier. I get really excited to make anything and to tweak it to make it better for you. To use whole what flour, to add applesauce instead of oil, to use carrot puree, any way that I can, I love to make it healthier. It is so fun. My biggest problem with cooking is thinking of something and planning in advance. When it is an hour before supper and I haven't thought of anything my choices are much thinner. I usually have nearly all of our standard ingredients and I don't go to the store for one meal almost ever. We had our standard tacos last night, with Mexican rice and guacamole, yummy! Maybe tonight I will roast some broccoli and have potato and sweet potato fries with chicken of some sort. BBQ would be great, but I don't think there will be time. Anyways I should go and make some decisions! If anyone has good suggestions for helping to plan better I would love them! Thanks!

A Miracle!

I just had such a great experience that I just had to write down. I was sitting alone in my quiet house, thinking about going to bed. But I walked over to the window and saw the sun beginning to set. It was so beautiful so I sat and watched the whole thing. The sky was on fire!! Setting behind the trees and mountains it was so amazing. I couldn't help but think what a gift from God this is. A true testament of Him and His Son. His glory reaching out to us morning and night. In a way screaming out for us to see, with the brightest colors of anything. But also so subtle that we forget to look at it. Isn't that the way that He works. I am so grateful to have been apart of it. What a miracle!!!

(I didn't take this picture, but just an idea!)

What a night!

Dawsyn slept throught the night last night. That is the second time ever! It is amazing how much better it feels, even me getting to sleep from 11:30 till 6:30 straight is so amazing. Wow it sure feels good. Lets hope this is the new trend!
Scavenging food off the floor!
Looking sweet as always, our happy little babe!
At the beach! I love that they have to try eating sand a few times to know that it is so gross. The first time isn't convincing enough! So funny!

A new Day!!

What a great day we have had. I love these days. We didn't even do anything, except work, but it was still so good. I have been feeling like I have had trouble coping with all of my requirements the last little bit. But how helpful it is to have a day like today where I got my laundry done, the grocery shoppping and most of the house clean. The kids played well together and did do their chores too. I haven't really done laundry in a month. My wonderful mothers have done a few loads for me, but there was still a bunch that we hadn't gotten to yet. It sure feels good to be getting ahead of something.

We also had a fun time having a friend from High School come over with her daughter for supper. Even more fun then seeing old friends is getting to meet their kids and see how much our lives have changed. It is great to catch up. Seeing friends that you visit with and it feels like old times again. Where you can laugh together like not a day has passed. That is a great feeling. I laugh now that I had felt so nervous about the High School reunion because of course it was fun to see old friends. I think it was just the stress of other things. But how refreshing it is to have had a great productive day. Now I am going to keep folding laundry and maybe read a book tonight. Sounds great for finishing off this day! And for planning a great day tomorrow. Goodnight!

What is that there?

I can't tell it is too well camoflauged???

Oh, is that Kyndal? I could hardly tell with the way she was camoflauged into the vest and the stairs!
