On July 21, our baby's due date, we welcomed our second boy into our family. We named him
Baylor William James Gainor.
We saw this name while watching NCAA, Baylor University, and really liked it. Especially as Marshall is also a University we thought it fitting. He is also named for his Grandpa and Great Grandpa Wigg. He was 7lbs 11ozs, which is a really big baby for us. He was born at home with the help of midwives and everything went so very well. Here are some pictures of him being welcomed into our family.
All of the kids were so excited to meet him. We didn't know that he was a boy, but most were hoping for that, so we were all so thrilled. Paul has now been saying that Marshall wasn't a fluke, we now have 2 boys. We are excited to have some of each so we can learn all about the differences in raising both boys and girls. Already the boys seem more relaxed, or maybe that is number 4 and 5 that have to be more relaxed.
One of the most amazing things about having a home birth is that right after the kids can be more involved. I love that we are here in our own room, with our temple picture above us and all of the kids welcoming their new brother. It was very special!
This is the only time that Elliette was around to see the baby. She used all of the commotion to take the day playing computer games.
Kyndal was able to help to weigh him. I guess this method of weighing is like a fish scale in a market. It is pretty funny.

Dawysn was the kid that wanted to be the most involved. She was knocking on the door all day, after he was born, to come in and see what was going on. She wanted to be with her brother and hold him lots. She has since been so good with him, holding him nice and helping with him. It is so sweet and cute.
Marshall has really helped Baylor to have his name suit him as he calls him Baylor all the time. Other babies had to grow into their name and were called Baby a lot, but not Baylor, Marshall always calls him Baylor. This is our farthest gap between children, 1 month shy of 3 years, so Marshall has a greater understanding of what is going on with a baby brother. It is interesting to see.
Kyndal is a big help and adores her brother.
We are so happy to have welcomed Baylor into our family. He is pretty easy going, he rarely cries, he just eats and looks around and sleeps. He had gained his birth weight back by 10 days and is surpassing it quickly by the looks of the growing double chin he is getting. He is so precious and adored and we are all so happy to have him here healthy and well.
