Big Boy!

We had a life changing day in early Aug.  Our sweet, not yet 2 year old boy, learned 2 new things.  He learned to climb out of his crib and he learned to open his bedroom door.  He began to do this immediately after being put into bed.  We timed, tuck Marshall into bed, close the door, start the watch, less then 15 seconds pass and Marshall is standing in front of us in the hall, very proud of himself for not going to sleep.  So we had to move him into a big boy bed.  (He had actually climbed out of his crib before, but it was a while before.  We were not sure if Elliette helped him or what, so we got a bed and waited until we needed it)
He is so very proud of himself.  This definitely complicates our bedtimes, as Marshall cannot have anyone with him to go to bed.  He will just play and not go to sleep.  So we have more bed shuffling going on.  Marshall also wakes up at night and then wakes up his sister and won't go back to sleep if someone is awake with him.  So juggling where kids sleep, sometimes moving someone away from him in the middle of the night.
He is a great personality, this boy!  He is happy, easy going, independent.  He keeps us entertained.  He loves balls and cars and trucks.  If he has these, then he is good.  He is without clothes in these pictures as he is impossible to keep clothes on, though.  If he gets a single drop of water on his clothes then he is desperate to get them off.  He wants to be without all clothes and cannot be distracted from it.  So this is a regular sight, to have Marshall hanging out in a diaper, even if I have dressed him 5 or 6 times that day.
Currently Marshall and Elliette share a room.
He is so excited about his new bed!  Now I need to make him a quilt!  It is underway!
