Updates from my Phone

Okay, I know I am not always the fastest to learn some things.  I just found out how simple it is to get the pictures off my phone onto here, some are from nearly 2 years ago.  So here is a quick catch-up of pictures from my phone.  Some memories that I don't want to forget, so here they are, documented.

I was able to get out to High River for helping with the clean-up after the floods last summer.  It was on one of the last days before they closed it all up and in some of the worst areas.  This is the only picture that I got, wading through mud and unimaginable yuck, carrying things up stairs and out of basements.  Tearing apart everything, all soaking and gross.  I have always liked the idea of doing demolition and so that part was fun, but it was so filthy and smelly.  It was so great to work hard on behalf of someone else that was in a rough spot.  There were some amazing people with such great sense of humors that we were helping this day.  They really made it so great.  Such a sense of community.  Great to be a part of!

Kyndal had a foot injury from jumping off the trampoline, I think onto her cousins head.  The head was fine but we weren't sure about the ankle.  A break couldn't be seen but he said that it may have been along the growth plate.  We would see after a few days how it was healing up.  Kyndal was on crutches for 3-4 days and then was fine after that.  We were grateful that it wasn't broken as we went on holidays a week after.

Some fun time with our sweet cousin Caeleb.  Dawsyn and him have been such good buddies and we love having him with us!

My sweet Marshall looking so small!

My girls love to make lemonade stands.  We live on a good street for it.  They are always feeling desperate to sell all kinds of things, rocks, rainbow loom, homemade cards, food, etc.  I think this day we sold little cups of Daddy's chocolate covered raisins.  He was not very happy about it!
It isn't very often that I get all fancied up.  This was a fun weekend in Edmonton with Mom and Ashley.  We were headed out for a girls night, going to see the Dixie Chicks.  We had a great fun time together.
Here are a few pictures from this past Feb, on our trip to St. George.

We had a great time hanging out around the St. George Temple.  It was a beautiful Sunday and we went around the grounds, through the visitors center and our favorite part was collecting walnuts from these bushes underneath the walnut tree.  There were a whole bunch of huge amazing walnut trees around the grounds but mostly there wasn't a walnut is sight as the grounds are so meticulously maintained, except in this one circle of bushes underneath one tree.  The nuts would fall down into these bushes and the kids would search through them to find walnuts.  There were some other kids that showed them this, and how to break them open with a rock.  The kids were very excited and scavenged a big bag full of walnuts.  It felt like a treasure hunt and was pretty fun except that Paul was unhappy, feeling that his family was a bunch of hobos digging for stray nuts.

Here is Paul embarrassed at his scavenging children.
We love going to Drumheller, to the Royal Tyrrell Museum.  It is fun to have a picture of the kids growing bigger there.

We love going to the farm.  It is one of our favorite places in the world!  We had a great day there this fall, riding the tractor, playing with the cats and dogs, watching the cows, harvesting corn from the garden, seeing the chickens and horse.  It is just the most fun place for the kids to run around and explore.

After our swim lessons this fall, the kids explored all the beautiful displays of trees
and played in the sleigh.
